Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has warned President Bola Tinubu of an impending political shift in Northern Nigeria, predicting a surge in support for the opposition African Democratic Congress (ADC) within the next two months.
In a video circulating online on Saturday, Ayodele said the ADC would rapidly gain ground across the region, potentially challenging the dominance of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
“Tinubu, let me just say this, in the next two months, ADC will be everywhere in the North,” he said.
“They will not want to see anything APC in the North.”
The cleric went further to graphically describe what he portrayed as growing hostility toward the ruling party in the region.
“If they see APC banner, they will burn it, if they see you with APC cloth or T-shirt, they will stone you in the North,” he stated.
Ayodele added that there were deeper political undercurrents in the North that may not yet be fully understood by the President.
“There’s more I know about the North that Tinubu might not have seen, but the fact is they need to look around it properly,” he said.
He also cast doubt on the certainty of Tinubu’s electoral prospects, insisting that victory was far from guaranteed for him.
“Tinubu does not have 100 per cent (assurance) that he will win, he is not 100 per cent certain,” the cleric added.
LEADERSHIP reports that Primate Ayodele has recently made a series of ‘prophecies’ about Nigeria’s political gladiators and possible outcomes of the 2027 contests, a development that has stirred controversies.
