President Donald Trump has launched a verbal attack on Pope Leo, criticising the religious leader’s stance on international conflicts and American legal actions.

In a long post shared on his Truth Social platform on Sunday night, Trump described the Pope as being “weak” on crime and “terrible” for foreign policy.

The disagreement comes after Pope Leo reportedly criticised the ongoing conflict involving the U.S., Israel, and Iran. Over the weekend, the Pope suggested that a “delusion of power” was behind the war. Trump reacted angrily to these comments, telling the Pope to “get his act together” and stop supporting “radical left” views, which he claims are hurting the Catholic Church.

In an unusual move, Trump compared the Pope to his brother, Louis, who lives in Florida. Trump stated that he likes Louis much better because he supports the “MAGA” movement and shares similar political views.

The President also expressed anger over the Pope’s criticism of the recent U.S. military operation in South America, which led to the capture of Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro. Maduro is currently in the U.S. facing charges related to drug trafficking.

Trump concluded his message by suggesting the Pope should be “thankful” for his position, claiming he was only chosen to deal with his administration from a liberal perspective.
