The Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MOFI) will join other stakeholders at the 15th West Africa Convergence Conference (WACC) 2026 in Lagos this June to discuss Nigeria’s digital economy growth.The event, themed: “Leveraging Technology for Development in Nigeria, 2027–2031: Delivering the Renewed Hope Agenda,” includes the 50 Most Influential Figures in Nigeria’s Digital Economy awards.
Attendees will feature state governors, telecom executives, fintech firms, regulators, investors, and academics.Nigeria’s digital sector contributes 18 per cent to GDP.
Organizers said policymakers and state governments will address strategies amid this expansion.
MOFI CEO Dr. Armstrong Ume Takang, said the conference fits the agency’s assets and investment management role. He confirmed MOFI’s participation in policy talks with public and private sectors.
APC national chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, will deliver the ICT sector keynote. Governors from Enugu, Kogi, Plateau, Akwa Ibom, and Imo states are expected, along with data centre operators, ISPs, banks, and startup founders.
