A Non-governmental Organisation, West African Action Network against Small Arms Proliferation (WAANSAP) has promised to install solar lights in Gandu community as part of modalities to tackle insecurity in the Federal University of Lafia.

Gandu community is one of the closest communities to the university but it has been under attack from criminals.

The regional vice president, West African Action Network against Small Arms Proliferation (WAANSAP), Mr. Martins Igwe, disclosed this while briefing journalists after a meeting with Gandu stakeholders in Lafia yesterday.

He said he was in Gandu recently after a report of an attack where some students were injured.

The vice president said they had identified pockets of issues related to insecurity which need to be addressed.
