The National Orientation Agency (NOA), Yobe State Directorate, has called for a stronger partnership with the Yobe State Government to enhance public awareness and promote government policies, programmes, and developmental initiatives across the state.
The appeal was made by the State Director of NOA, Hajiya Zuwaira Mohammed Ali, during a congratulatory visit to the Acting Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr Mohammed Goje, following his recent appointment by Governor Mai Mala Buni.
Speaking during the visit, Hajiya Zuwaira described Dr Goje as well-suited for the position, citing his achievements and contributions during his tenure at the Yobe State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA).
She reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to supporting government efforts by promoting policies and programmes, particularly in the areas of value reorientation and attitudinal change, aimed at fostering sustainable development and prosperity.
The NOA director also appealed for greater government support to strengthen public mobilisation and awareness campaigns across the state.
Responding, the Acting Secretary to the State Government described the agency as a strategic partner in the state’s development agenda, acknowledging its role in shaping public attitudes and promoting government initiatives.
Dr Goje assured the agency of the continued support of the Yobe State Government under Governor Buni’s administration, emphasising its commitment to ensuring the effective implementation of NOA’s mandate throughout the state.
The visit featured the presentation of publications on the agency’s National Identity Project, as well as copies of the reintroduced National Anthem to the Acting Secretary of the State Government.
