Global music stars Daddy Yankee and Shenseea have joined forces on Echo, the third single from the Official FIFA World Cup 2026 album, as FIFA continues to build momentum towards the tournament with a star-studded musical line-up.
The high-energy track, released on all major streaming platforms, blends the rhythmic pulse of dancehall and reggaeton, delivering a vibrant, cross-cultural sound aimed at uniting audiences worldwide. The single was executive produced by multi-award-winning Puerto Rican hitmaker Tainy and samples Red & Black Light by Ibrahim Maalouf, with additional production credits including Massari, Adium, Jota Rosa and Albert Hype.
Released via Def Jam Recordings in partnership with SALXCO UAM, Echo marks the third instalment in a series of singles designed to soundtrack what FIFA describes as “the greatest show on earth”.
The collaboration highlights the synergy between Caribbean and Latin music cultures, combining Shenseea’s genre-blending style with Daddy Yankee’s pioneering influence in reggaeton. The result is a track that reflects both immediacy and global appeal, capturing the spirit of unity that defines both music and football.
Daddy Yankee described the project as a powerful opportunity to connect people across borders, saying it was “a blessing to be able to unify the world through music and fútbol”.
Shenseea echoed that sentiment, noting that both music and football share a universal language and that being part of such a global initiative was “special”.
Echo follows the earlier releases of Lighter and Por Ella, the latter also produced by Tainy, as part of a multi-phase musical rollout leading up to the 2026 tournament. FIFA said each release contributes to a broader cultural narrative, bringing together diverse sounds and voices to celebrate the global game.
