The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that it will display the Preliminary Register of Voters (PRV) across all 20 local government area offices in Bauchi State from Wednesday, April 29 to Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
This was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by Aliyu Hassan Shaaba, Head of Voter Education and Publicity, on behalf of the State Resident Electoral Commissioner. He explained that the exercise follows the completion of the second phase of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR).
Shaaba noted that the display of the PRV is aimed at giving citizens the opportunity to verify their personal details, request corrections where necessary, and raise objections to the inclusion of ineligible persons such as the deceased, foreigners, and underage individuals.
The Commission urged all those who participated in the second phase of the registration exercise to take advantage of the display period by checking their details and reporting any discrepancies.
INEC emphasised that the process is critical to ensuring the accuracy, credibility, and integrity of the National Register of Voters.
