Niger State overseeing commissioner for Rural and Community Development, Mu’azu Hamidu Jantabo, has called for renewed commitment and greater collaboration to advance community-focused development across the state.
The commissioner spoke during a meeting at the ministry’s headquarters in Minna, following his deployment to oversee the ministry after the recent resignation of some commissioners.
He said the ministry should remain committed to strengthening service delivery and ensuring that ongoing programmes deliver meaningful impact to communities.
He noted that achieving the Ministry’s mandate required dedication, teamwork and a shared sense of responsibility among staff and management through effective service delivery.
The commissioner urged the staff to focus on their duties and sustain efforts aimed at improving the welfare of rural communities across the state.
LEADERSHIP reported that Alhaji Jantabo is the substantive Commissioner of local government and was deployed to also oversee the ministry of Community Development following the resignation of the former Commissioner Phalal Bako to Contest for the house assembly ticket of All Progressives Congress APC for Kontagora state constituency.
