The management of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, in Kogi State, has approved the expulsion of eight students for their involvement in examination malpractice.

The decision was ratified by the University Senate during its 30th regular meeting held on April 29, 2026, in line with the institution’s academic regulations as contained in the Student Handbook.

According to a statement issued by the deputy registrar (Academics), Mr Eli Gbadufu, the affected students were found guilty of various forms of examination misconduct during the first semester examinations of the 2025/2026 academic session.

He noted that the students were duly investigated by the Examination Misconduct Committee, whose recommendations were subsequently upheld by the Senate.

Those expelled include Ogedemgbe A. Nelson (100 Level, Economics), Yakubu Abdulrazak Adavize (300 Level, Library and Information Science), Olowu Samuel Ayomide (200 Level, Mining Engineering), Usman Bilal (400 Level, Information Technology), Adams Michael (200 Level, Information Technology).
