He explained that the programme is designed to drive significant yield improvements, with farmers often experiencing a near doubling of maize yields and an average income increase of approximately $328 per household per season.

“The integrated support model combines input credit with agronomic training, advisory, and digital services delivered directly to farming communities.

“This last-mile delivery approach minimizes reliance on intermediaries and ensures timely access to inputs.

“The program also prioritizes inclusion, with women and youth representing over 35% of participating farmers,”  the Communication Lead stated.

He shared Keziah Danjuma, a 24-year-old maize farmer from Pyatta village in Niger State, and beneficiary of of many of the Fund’s beneficiaries’s story thus: “Since I started farming with One Acre Fund, I now receive quality seed and fertilizer on credit right here in my village.

“My maize yield has nearly doubled, and the extra income has allowed me to invest more in my family, while saving me the time and stress of travelling long distances to distant markets for supplies.”.
