Credit Direct Finance team have clinched the 2026 Corporate Stars League (CSL) Lagos title, triumphing over TotalEnergies in a nail-biting penalty shootout.
The dramatic final brought a thrilling conclusion to the International Workers’ Day corporate football celebrations.
The CSL, celebrated for its exciting corporate tournament format, once again delivered a spectacle of skill and intensity. Leading organisations showcased flair reminiscent of professional football, captivating fans and underscoring the increasing appeal of corporate sports.
Credit Direct’s victory was a testament to their grit, discipline, and unwavering determination. Their path to the final included a tense semi-final clash against Sohcahtoa Holdings, where Credit Direct secured a hard-fought 1-0 win after a group stage stalemate.
In the other semi-final, oil and gas giants International Energy Services and TotalEnergies also battled to a narrow 1-0 result, with TotalEnergies advancing to the final.
Sohcahtoa Holdings bounced back strongly in the third-place play-off, defeating International Energy Services to claim the bronze medal. Individual accolades included Joseph Karina (Credit Direct) as Highest Goal Scorer, Credit Direct for Best Manager, Elena Kura (TotalEnergies) as MVP, and Red Bull NG receiving the Fair Play Team award. All participating offices also received participation awards.
The event was graced by Nigerian music superstars M’kido and Chinko Ekun, alongside PR Strategist Dami Adenuga.
