…Charges Security Agencies to Ensure Peaceful, Violence- free Exercise
Earlier today, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, presided over a State Security Council Meeting at the Government House, Gombe, in a proactive move aimed at ensuring the peaceful and hitch-free conduct of political party primaries across the state.
The high-level security meeting was attended by heads of security agencies and other critical stakeholders to review the security situation and strategize on measures to maintain law and order before, during and after the forthcoming primary elections.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya, renowned for his commitment to the protection of lives and property of the citizenry, charged security chiefs to strengthen coordinated operations to prevent any form of violence, intimidation or disruption of the democratic process.
He emphasized that the peace and stability currently enjoyed in Gombe State must be protected at all costs.
The Governor urged political actors, party supporters and residents to conduct themselves peacefully and responsibly, stressing that elections should not be seen as a do-or-die affair but as a democratic process guided by the rule of law and mutual respect.
He reiterated his administration’s commitment to sustaining peace, security and political stability across the state, while assuring citizens that the government will continue to work closely with security agencies to guarantee a safe environment throughout the electioneering period and beyond.
