The Zamfara State Ministry of Health has announced plans to commence a 2026 registration update and revalidation exercise for all private health facilities operating across the state.

The exercise will cover private hospitals, clinics, maternity homes, laboratories, pharmacies, and other privately owned healthcare facilities.

This was contained in a statement issued by the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Nafisa Muhammad Maradun, and made available to journalists in Gusau.

According to the statement, the initiative is aimed at strengthening professionalism, improving healthcare service delivery, and ensuring effective regulation of private medical practice in Zamfara State.

The ministry explained that the exercise forms part of ongoing efforts to standardise healthcare operations and enhance compliance with regulatory guidelines in the state’s health sector.

It added that the collection of registration forms will take place from May 22 to May 28, 2026, while submission of completed forms is scheduled for May 29 to June 11, 2026.

The statement further disclosed that field inspection visits by the task force committee will run from June 19 to July 9, 2026.
