‘Marry Your Friend’ — Lateef Adedimeji Opens Up on Marriage

Adetola Abdullateef Adedimeji, also known as Lateef Adedimeji, is a Nigerian actor and filmmaker who has shared some relationship advice with curious fans while reflecting on how he won his wife, Mo Bimpe’s heart.

In an interview with Popular host Chude Jideonwo, Lateef revealed that he and Mo Bimpe started as close colleagues and gradually became best friends.

The actor made these remarks when a fan asked him how he built a relationship with Mo Bimpe, even though she repeatedly said they were not together.

He then replied, ‘Marry your Friend’.

However, before their wedding, Mo Bimpe revealed in other interviews that there was nothing more than friendship between her and Lateef, creating a sense of secrecy around their romance.

In her words, ‘Lateef is family, he’s like a brother to me’.

The two often refer to each other as playmates and prayer partners, until they announced their marriage in 2021 by saying, ‘Today, I married my best friend.

Lateef and Mo Bimpe have since remained one of Nollywood’s most celebrated couples, frequently sharing moments from their marriage and professional collaborations online.
