The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaita Local Government Area of Katsina State has affirmed Hon. Sirajo Audu as the party’s consensus candidate for the Katsina State House of Assembly ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The affirmation took place during a stakeholders’ meeting in the area and was led by the chairman of Kaita Local Government Area and president of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) in Katsina State, Hon. Bello Yandaki.

Speaking at the event, Yandaki said the choice of Sirajo Audu reflected the collective will and unity of APC members in Kaita.

He urged residents to continue supporting the APC, saying the party remained committed to improving the welfare of the people through impactful governance.

Yandaki also commended Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, for encouraging consensus arrangements in the selection of candidates ahead of the 2027 elections.

He said Kaita remained a stronghold of the APC and would continue to grow stronger through unity and cooperation among party members.

Earlier, the APC chairman in the area, Lawal Audu, thanked party members and supporters for embracing the consensus arrangement and sustaining unity for the progress of the party.

He listed some achievements of the state government in the area, including the ongoing Zone Dam project, which he said was about 75 per cent complete.

Lawal assured residents that more developmental projects and democratic dividends would continue to reach the area under the APC-led administration.
