Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Delta State, Chief Great Ogboru, has said he is not considering stepping down for any candidate.

Recently, supporters of Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, candidate of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) alleged that Ogboru was aligning and planning to support the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Sheriff Oborevwori. This is even as the PDP also opined that Omo-Agege and Ogboru are no match for the party.

Reacting yesterday, the Sunshine Media Team (Ogboru Campaign Organisation) said there was no plan for Ogboru to step down. “Chief Ogboru does not need anyone to speak on his behalf about his views of Omo-Agege or Oborevwori.

“For the avoidance of doubt, Chief Great Ogboru is a far more superior candidate in every respect to Senator Omo-Agege and Hon Sheriff Oborevwori to consider ever stepping down for either or both.”

If anything, both of them ought not to be thinking of contesting against Ogboru at all.

“The records speak for themselves. But if they cannot do this minimal requirement of respect by stepping down by reason of status and leadership, then they must be constructive in the presentation of their campaign messages. They should simply present their opinions to the electorate to decide,” it said.
