Poland winger Jakub Kamiński has warned that his side will deliver an improved performance when they face Nigeria’s Super Eagles in Wednesday’s international friendly in Warsaw.
Kamiński made the remarks following Poland’s disappointing 2-0 defeat to Ukraine at the weekend.
Goals from Roman Yaremchuk and Andriy Yarmolenko handed Ukraine victory and exposed several weaknesses within the Polish side, particularly in attack and overall cohesion.
Speaking after the match, the winger admitted that the team struggled to find rhythm but insisted improvements would be made before Nigeria’s visit.
“It’s obvious that some of us were playing together for the first time, and it’s normal that sometimes there was a lack of automaticity,” Kamiński said in comments relayed by Sportowefakty.
“We still have the match against Nigeria, and we will definitely improve the elements that weren’t working today.”
Poland will welcome the Super Eagles to the National Stadium in Warsaw seeking a stronger display and a morale-boosting result.
Nigeria, however, will travel to the Polish capital facing squad challenges.
Head coach Eric Chelle has been forced to contend with several withdrawals ahead of the friendly, with Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Femi Azeez, Samson Tijani, Alhassan Yusuf and Ebenezer Akinsanmiro all ruled out.
Despite the absences, the fixture remains an important test for the Super Eagles as Chelle continues to evaluate options and shape his squad.
