Kwara State governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has restated the commitment of his administration  to ensuring that every child in the state has access to a safe, conducive, inclusive and quality learning environment.

The governor gave the assurance in Ilorin, the state capital while performing the bid opening  for the execution of the 2025 FG/UBEC/SUBEB school intervention projects in the state.

Represented by the commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Dr Lawal Olohungbebe, AbdulRazaq explained that the exercise was a demonstration of the administration’s commitment to transparency, accountability, competitiveness, and strict adherence to due process in public procurement.

“This occasion marks another important milestone in our collective efforts to strengthen basic education delivery in our dear states, Kwara State, through the provision of quality infrastructure and learning facilities for our schools across the 16 local government areas of our dear states.

“The projects under this intervention will further advance the vision and reinforce our determination to improve learning outcomes across the states. Today’s exercise is a demonstration of our commitment to transparency, accountability, competitiveness, and strict adherence to due process in public procurement”, he said.

He added: “We are determined to ensure that all procurement activities are conducted in a fair, open, and credible manner that inspires public confidence and guarantees values for money. I wish to express my profound appreciation to the Universal Basic Education Commission in Abuja for its continued support and partnership with our state. ”

“Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, education remains the cornerstone of sustainable development and the most effective instrument for human capital transformation.
