A total of 22 ships are discharging petroleum products and other commodities at Apapa, Lekki and Tin-Can Island ports in Lagos, says the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).

The NPA, on Friday, said the vessels were carrying petrol, aviation fuel, bulk gas, fuel oil, bulk urea, iron ore, containers, bulk fertiliser, general cargo, bulk wheat, ethanol, gypsum and frozen fish.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that 42 additional ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected at Lagos ports between Friday and Tuesday, 9 June.

According to the NPA, the incoming vessels will deliver general cargo, bulk wheat, aviation fuel, gas oil, crude oil, frozen fish, diesel and containers.

The authority added that the ships would also bring condensate and petrol to the ports, saying 12 ships had already arrived and were awaiting berthing.
