Organisers of the Professional Fighters League (PFL) Africa have appointed Halogen Security Company as the official security partner for the organisation’s inaugural Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) event in Nigeria, scheduled to take place on 13 June 2026 at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos.
The landmark event, which marks PFL Africa’s maiden outing on the continent, is expected to attract elite fighters, international delegates, event officials, media representatives, sponsors and thousands of combat sports enthusiasts from across Africa and beyond.
In a statement released ahead of the event, organisers said extensive preparations had been put in place to ensure a successful and memorable fight night, with Halogen entrusted with delivering comprehensive security and risk management services.
According to the statement, PFL Africa has intensified fan engagement activities across Lagos through a series of gym activations, street campaigns, media appearances and community outreach programmes aimed at building excitement around the event and raising the profile of mixed martial arts across the continent.
As the official security partner, Halogen will provide integrated security operations, secure mobility services, protocol coordination and overall event security management throughout the competition.
The company will be responsible for ensuring the safety of athletes, guests, officials, sponsors, partners and spectators, while helping to deliver a seamless experience for all stakeholders.
Speaking on the partnership, Executive Director of Operations and Allied Services at Halogen Secu rity Company, Bosun Sosanya, described the collaboration as a significant milestone for both organisations.
“We are proud to partner with PFL Africa for this historic event,” Sosanya said.
“As a company committed to protecting people, assets and experiences, we understand the critical role security plays in the success of major international events.
“Our focus is on providing a safe and secure environment that enables athletes, officials, partners and fans to enjoy a truly world-class sporting experience. This partnership reflects our commitment to enabling excellence through security leadership.”
The partnership further strengthens Halogen’s reputation as one of Nigeria’s leading providers of integrated security and risk management solutions for major corporate, entertainment, sporting and public events.
With Lagos preparing to host one of the most significant combat sports events ever staged on African soil, organisers believe the collaboration will help deliver a safe, professionally managed tournament that meets international standards.
Founded in 1992, Halogen Group has grown into one of Nigeria’s foremost security and risk management organisations, with operations spanning all 36 states of the federation.
The company boasts thousands of trained personnel, six specialised subsidiaries and ISO 9001:2015 certification. Its services include manned guarding, remote surveillance, identity management, cybersecurity, secure mobility solutions and professional security training for clients across the aviation, banking, oil and gas, corporate and critical infrastructure sectors.
The inaugural PFL Africa event is expected to serve as a major platform for showcasing African MMA talent while expanding the sport’s footprint across the continent. Organisers are hopeful that the Lagos showcase will set the tone for future editions and establish PFL Africa as a premier destination for mixed martial arts competition and entertainment.
