Kebbi Assembly Declares 4 Members’ Seats Vacant

The   Kebbi  State  House of Assembly  has declared  the seats of four members  vacant  following  their  defection from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic  Party (PDP).

This was contained  in a statement  issued Thursday in Birnin  Kebbi by the clerk  of the  House.

According  to  the  statement,  the members  are; Hon. Sama’la Abdulmumini Kamba the immediate  past speaker,  Hon. Muhammed  Buhari Aleiro, former  deputy  speaker, Hon Sama’la Salihu Bui and Hon. Habibu Labbo Gwandu.

It added  that  the  House declared  the seats  vacant  at its sitting  held on Wednesday .

Bunza  in the  statement  said their defection  from the APC violated  Section  109 of the 1999 Constitution  of  Nigeria  (as amended).
