The governor of Plateau State and chairman, Northern Governors Forum, Simon Lalong, Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen,  Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Bose Mustapha and the  Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, have hailed the Executive Secretary of Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETfund), Arch. Sonny Echono for his patriotism and professionalism  towards the development of Nigeria.

In his congratulatory message to Echono on his 60th birthday, Lalong commended him for his resourcefulness, patriotism, professionalism and passionate leadership over the years.

“Over the years, you have remained consistent in the pursuit of excellence and have used every opportunity given to you to showcase your talent and demonstrate diligence, character and competence.

“You have also touched lives and mentored many younger ones within the civil service and in the wider society thereby contributing immensely in raising leaders for the future.”

On her part, Tallen described him as a wonderful man of the people, while praying for God’s grace and mercy upon his career and home.

“On behalf of the entire Management and staff of the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, Nigerian Women and Children, I congratulate you and wish to assure you that we are proud of you,” she said.

Also, Mustapha commended his achievements and contributions over the years towards the growth and development of Nigeria through his sterling performance as a distinguished Public Servant who rose to the apex of his career and retired as a Federal Permanent Secretary is far reaching.

“Your appointment as the Executive Secretary of TETFund in March, 2022 and Conferment of the National Honour of OON in October, 2022 by Mr. President did not come to many including myself as a surprise. This is largely attributed to your excellent and unblemished track record of service to your fatherland,” Mustapha said.

Alkali Baba on his part, hail Echono for dedicating his life to service, humility, empathy, courage and above all unwavering patriotism and firm commitment to the values of God.
