The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State will begin its gubernatorial campaigns today at Kaura Namoda, the headquarters of Kaura Namoda local government area.

Briefing journalists on the campaign’s movement, head of directorate of publicity Gubernatorial Campaign Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Danmaliki, said APC banned political thugs carrying weapons from attending the rally.

According to him, the state government has directed Anti-Thuggery and security agents to arrest anybody found carrying dangerous weapons at the venue of the rally.

“We want to conduct a peaceful campaign devoid of any act of thuggery, so anybody caught with dangerous weapons would face the consequences”, he added.

According to him, APC was confident of victory in the forthcoming election as all the former governors and their supporters were working for the victory of the party at all levels.
