The Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare, has said infrastructure projects being executed by Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo align with the objectives of the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Dare stated this on Monday during the second day of the Presidential Media Tour while inspecting ongoing and completed projects in Yagba West Local Government Area and other parts of Kogi State.
According to him, the inspection provided an opportunity to assess road and healthcare projects being undertaken by the state government.

“We travelled from Lokoja, almost a five-hour journey, and we have seen the efforts of Governor Ododo in constructing internal roads that provide access to farms and rural communities.

Today, we inspected a 15-kilometre stretch of internal roads, as well as Primary Healthcare Centres. The development plan being implemented in Kogi State aligns with the key objectives of the Renewed Hope Agenda,” Dare said.

He said the Federal Government currently has more than 300 road projects across the country, including the Kabba–Egbe–Omu-Aran Road, which he said was recently approved by the Federal Executive Council (FEC).

According to Dare, the road had been abandoned for nearly 30 years before its reconstruction was approved.
Speaking at the project site, he said the Federal Government was implementing projects in sectors including infrastructure, healthcare, education, agriculture, manufacturing, and oil and gas.

The Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, thanked the Federal Government for approving the reconstruction of key federal roads and other projects in the state.
Fanwo said increased revenue to states had enabled governments to undertake infrastructure projects.

Also speaking, the Chairman of Yagba West Local Government Area, Tosin Olokun, and the Kogi State Commissioner for Environment, Joseph Oluwasegun, welcomed the ongoing projects in their communities and expressed appreciation to the Federal and Kogi State governments.
