Foden Commits Future To Manchester City With New Deal Until 2030

Phil Foden has ended speculation over his future by signing a new four-year contract with Manchester City, keeping him at the Etihad Stadium until the summer of 2030.

The England midfielder’s previous deal was due to expire next year, but the new agreement underlines City’s long-term faith in one of their academy’s finest products.

Foden, 26, made his first-team debut as a 17-year-old under Pep Guardiola and has since established himself as one of the club’s most decorated players.

During his time with City, he has made 369 appearances and helped the club win six Premier League titles, the UEFA Champions League and two FA Cups, among numerous other honours.

Last season proved more challenging for the midfielder, who started just 23 Premier League matches and was subsequently left out of Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Despite those setbacks, Foden has reaffirmed his commitment to City and is expected to play a central role under new head coach Enzo Maresca.

The midfielder revealed that Maresca’s previous spell as Guardiola’s assistant during City’s historic Treble-winning campaign in 2022-23 played a significant role in his decision to extend his stay.

With his future now secured, Foden will be aiming to rediscover his best form as Manchester City begin a new era under Maresca while competing for domestic and European honours.
