Fresh details have emerged in the ongoing murder trial involving American singer David Anthony Burke, popularly known as D4vd, after alleged text messages presented in court revealed conversations regarding pregnancy and termination with a 14-year-old girl, Celeste Rivas Hernandez, before her death.
According to reports by the BBC, prosecutors told a Los Angeles court that messages retrieved from the singer’s iCloud account contained discussions between the pair about an initial pregnancy, with subsequent exchanges referencing a second termination.
Investigators further disclosed that the electronic conversations dated back to 2022, when the deceased teenager was 11 years old.
The 21-year-old musician has pleaded not guilty to multiple criminal charges, including murder, continuous abuse of a minor, and mutilation of human remains.
State prosecutors alleged that the singer took the teenager’s life after she threatened to expose their illicit relationship to the public and ruin his music career, an allegation the defendant has strongly denied.
The preliminary court hearing on the matter is scheduled to continue next week.
