The Acting Secretary to the Yobe State Government (SSG), Dr. Mohammed Goje, has received a high-powered delegation from the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), which paid a condolence visit to the Yobe State Government over the death of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Dr. Bukar Aji Bukar.
The delegation, led by the National President and Chairman of Council of ANAN, Chief (Hajia) Zuwairat Talatu Kishimi, presented a letter of condolence to the state government through the Acting SSG shortly after the funeral prayer of the late Permanent Secretary.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the Vice-Chancellor of ANAN University, Prof. Musa Inuwa Fodio, described the late Dr. Bukar Aji Bukar as a distinguished accountant, disciplined administrator, and committed public servant whose contributions to the accounting profession and public service earned him national recognition.
He noted that Dr. Bukar rose to become a Council Member of ANAN through dedication, integrity, and professionalism, adding that his death was a great loss to the association, Yobe State, and the accounting profession.
Receiving the delegation on behalf of the Yobe State Government, Dr. Mohammed Goje expressed appreciation to the leadership of ANAN for identifying with the government and people of Yobe State during their moment of grief.
