The founder/CEO of the Africa Real Estate Awards, Dr Kingsley Amafibe, has unveiled The Awards, a prestigious platform designed to recognise excellence, innovation, and outstanding contributions to the growth of Africa’s real estate industry.

The ceremony held in Lagos attracted key stakeholders, developers, investors, policymakers, architects and professionals from across the property sector, all united by a shared vision of advancing Africa’s built environment.

At the launch, Amafibe said the initiative was created to celebrate individuals and organisations redefining real estate through innovation, integrity, sustainability, and impactful investments across the continent. The awards also aim to promote collaboration and partnership, attract investment and encourage best practices within Africa’s rapidly expanding property market.

“The Africa Real Estate Awards is more than an award ceremony; it is a movement to celebrate visionaries who are transforming Africa’s skylines and creating sustainable communities for future generations,” Amafibe said.

He noted that the platform would honour excellence across multiple categories while creating opportunities for networking, partnerships, and knowledge exchange among industry leaders. “Our goal is to position African real estate on the global stage by recognising excellence, inspiring innovation, and encouraging investments that will drive economic growth across the continent,” he added. The organisers said the awards will bring together leading developers, construction firms, real estate professionals, financial institutions, and government agencies to showcase projects that are shaping the future of housing and infrastructure in Africa. The initiative aligns with broader efforts across the continent to recognise leadership and innovation in the real estate sector.
