AVA Capital Plc is preparing for its admission to the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) via a Listing by Introduction, scheduled for July 31, 2026.

This signals a strategic transition into the public markets for the Group, highlighting its commitment to long-term institutional growth, as outlined in a statement by the Company.

Unlike an initial public offering, AVA Capital will not issue new shares or seek additional capital through this listing. Instead, the initiative aims to enhance market visibility, bolster governance and transparency, and improve interaction with shareholders and the wider investment community.

The managing director of AVA Capital, Olukayode Fadahunsi said, “our admission to the Nigerian Exchange represents a natural step in AVA Capital’s journey as a long-term institution.”

He added, “we are entering the public market with a robust foundation, an established operational platform, and a firm commitment to transparency. This move solidifies our position in Nigeria’s financial landscape and lays the groundwork for sustainable growth. Open, disciplined, and responsible practices are what the public markets expect of us, and we view these as strengths that will enhance our institution over time.”

AVA Capital operates through its subsidiaries, AVA Global Asset Managers, AVA Securities, and AVA Trustees, establishing a comprehensive financial services platform with an expanding institutional presence. During the 2025/26 financial year, the Group facilitated transactions exceeding N500 billion.

The upcoming listing is timely, as the Group has already met the Exchange’s free-float requirement, with approximately 20 percent of its issued shares held outside the controlling shareholder structure.

Previously, the company celebrated the launch of the AVA Infrastructure Fund with a ceremonial closing gong at the Nigerian Exchange and continues to operate across various regulated business sectors under the oversight of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Market analysts viewed this listing as indicative of a broader shift within Nigeria’s financial services industry towards formalization, enhanced corporate governance, and increased institutional engagement in the domestic economy.

As a diversified financial services group, AVA Capital Plc is regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission. Through its subsidiaries, the Group provides investment banking, asset management, securities trading, and trustee services to both institutional and individual clients, with a growing focus on infrastructure finance and long-term wealth creation.
