All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain and member of the party’s 2023 Presidential Campaign Council, Nur’deen Olaitan Amodu-Ode, has said James Abiodun Faleke, has right to contest and govern Kogi State.

Amodu-Ode described Faleke as the most qualified and experienced politician to lead Kogi.

He said Faleke’s decades of public service, legislative experience and commitment to democratic governance have prepared him to occupy the Lugard House, arguing that the state needs a leader with proven competence rather than someone learning on the job.

In a statement issued by Amodu-Ode on Saturday said Kogi was approaching a defining moment where competence, integrity and experience should take precedence over other considerations.

According to him, Faleke has built an impressive political career marked by sacrifice, loyalty and dedication to public service, beginning from his tenure as a local government chairman to his current role in the House of Representatives.

He said the lawmaker has consistently projected Kogi State positively on the national stage while attracting development to his constituency and supporting policies aimed at promoting national growth.

The APC stalwart also recalled Faleke’s role in the 2015 Kogi governorship election as running mate to the late Prince Abubakar Audu, noting that the former deputy governorship candidate displayed uncommon maturity and respect for constitutional democracy following Audu’s death before the conclusion of the election process.

Amodu-Ode stated that many Kogites believe Faleke deserves the opportunity to complete the political journey that began alongside the late APC leader, Late Prince Audu.
