Super Falcons’ World Cup Dream Shattered As Cameroon End WAFCON Title Defence

Nigeria’s Super Falcons suffered a devastating 1-0 defeat to Cameroon’s Lionesses in the quarter-finals of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, ending their hopes of defending the continental title and qualifying for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Cameroon scored in the 19th minute to secure a narrow victory and send the Super Falcons out of the competition at the quarter-final stage.
