Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has responded to a social media user who questioned his decision to remain in London just days before the Osun State governorship election.

The exchange followed concerns from some Nigerians over whether the singer would return to Nigeria in time to participate in the election and support his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, who is seeking re-election. The 2026 Osun governorship election is scheduled for August 15.
