Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has finalised the club’s captaincy structure for the 2026/2027 season, appointing Brazilian winger Raphinha as the primary team captain.
According to reports from Mundo Deportivo, the decision was made following a vote conducted among the first-team squad. Raphinha will officially wear the armband as the main skipper, while midfielder Pedri has been selected as the vice-captain and assistant leader.
Completing the five-man leadership group are young star Lamine Yamal, defender Eric Garcia, and Dutch international Frenkie de Jong.
The quintet will form the core leadership committee for the upcoming campaign, tasked with representing the players’ interests and bridging the gap between the dressing room and the coaching staff.
Flick’s selections blend established experience with emerging talent within the Catalan giants’ locker room. The club has yet to issue an official statement regarding the internal vote or the finalised captaincy.
