The acting chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State, Hon Adamu Mudi Augie has cleared the air on the alleged N627 billion received by the present government under Governor Nasir Idris.

Mudi made the clarification in reaction to a question posed by the Director General of Campaigns of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Hon Sani Tadurga at their kick off campaign on the whereabouts of the N627 billion received by the Kebbi State government from Federal Account Allocation Committee (FAAC).

According to Mudi, only the people of Kebbi State and not the ADC can testify from 2023 to date where the amount of money went to.

He said, “On roads and urban renewal, the Kaura-led administration has dualised Birnin-Ambursa Road, expanded, beautified and provided solar-powered streetlights across Birnin Kebbi, Yauri and other areas, completed and furnished the abandoned ultra-modern secretariat complex and advanced work on the Koko- Mahuta-Dabai Road, Argungu New By-pass, Ahmadu Bello Way in Gwandu and others.

“On education, hundreds of primary and secondary schools have been rehabilitated and new ones were built; mega boarding schools on Science and skill acquisition have been established in Birnin Kebbi, Argungu, Yauri and Zuru and more than 2,000 teachers have been recruited as well as renovation of College of Nursing Sciences, Birnin Kebbi, College of Health Sciences and Technology Jega and other tertiary institutions in the state.”

Mudi further revealed that on health, 30 general hospitals and primary healthcare centres across the Kebbi State have been renovated and upgraded and the construction of additional hospitals.

He noted that all the listed projects were executed by governor, Nasir Idris without borrowing from anywhere.

The APC acting chairman however challenged the ADC campaign councils to concentrate on the track records of their party’s candidates rather than to jump over to issues of not their concern.
