Navy Dismisses Circulating Recruitment Notice

The Nigerian Navy has dismissed a recruitment notice circulating on social media platforms, purportedly announcing the Nigerian Navy Recruitment 2026 Batch 39 exercise.

The Navy described the notice as unauthorised and urged members of the public, particularly prospective applicants, to disregard the information.

Director of Information, Nigerian Navy, Navy Captain Abiodun Folorunsho, disclosed this in a statement issued on Monday.

Folorunsho said the circulating notice did not emanate from the Nigerian Navy and should not be treated as an official recruitment announcement.

“The Nigerian Navy states that the notice, as circulated, is not an authorised publication and should not be trusted as an official recruitment announcement.

“The Nigerian Navy advises prospective applicants and the public to exercise caution and disregard recruitment information obtained from unofficial social media accounts, websites, or other sources.

“Official information regarding Nigerian Navy recruitment, including eligibility requirements, application procedures, timelines, and categories, will only be communicated through authorised Nigerian Navy channels.

“The official website for Nigerian Navy recruitment or enlistment is http://www.joinnigeriannavy.navy.mil.ng, and the official website remains https://navy.mil.ng.

“Members of the public are strongly advised against making payments to individuals, agents, or unauthorised platforms related to Nigerian Navy recruitment, as the exercise is free of charge.

“The Nigerian Navy does not authorise third parties to recruit applicants or collect recruitment fees on its behalf.

“The Nigerian Navy remains committed to maintaining a transparent and credible recruitment process and will continue to provide timely and accurate information through its official communication channels.”

The Navy therefore urged Nigerians seeking information about the Nigerian Navy Recruitment 2026 Batch 39 exercise to rely only on its authorised communication channels.

It also warned prospective applicants against recruitment scams and making payments to individuals or platforms claiming to facilitate enlistment into the Nigerian Navy.
