PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc, has recorded N260.46 billion in revenue for the first quarter (Q1) of the 2027 financial year.
The figure represents a 10 per cent rise compared with N59.014 billion achieved in the corresponding period in 2025, according to its unaudited financial results released on the Nigerian Exchange.
A breakdown of the results showed that cost of sales rose by five per cent, moving from N43.11 billion in Q1 2025 to N45.06 billion in Q1 2026, while gross profit grew by 24 per cent from N15.90 billion to N19.78 billion.
Total operating profit for the quarter rose to N8.54 billion from N5.85 billion in the corresponding period in 2026, reflecting improved operating performance.
The Company secretary, Oghenekevwe Ogefere, said the 39 per cent growth in organic operating profit was driven by a favourable mix of volume and pricing, as well as the strength of the Group’s brands across relevant categories.
She said the performance reflected the Group’s continued focus on sustainable revenue growth, operational efficiency, and strengthening of the business’s underlying performance.
“Profit before tax was N9.09 billion, while profit after tax was N4.63 billion. These figures were lower than in the corresponding period last year, which included N15.74 billion in non-recurring gains. The Group recorded N0.51 billion in non-recurring gains in the current quarter. Gross margin improved to approximately 30.5 per cent, from 26.9 per cent a year earlier,” Ogefere said.
She emphasised that the company remains focused on sustaining revenue growth, improving operating performance, and delivering long-term value for its stakeholders.
