Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has urged successful women to mentor younger women, saying their guidance can help them achieve their career and professional aspirations more easily.
Sanwo-Olu made the call on Tuesday while declaring open the 26th National Women Conference organised by the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO).
The governor also acknowledged the resilience of Nigerian women amid the country’s current economic challenges, saying their ability to navigate difficult circumstances could not be overemphasised.
He encouraged women who had attained success in their respective fields to support and guide the younger generation as they pursue their ambitions.
