Lafia Agog As APC Holds Presidential Campaign Rally In Nasarawa

Vice President Kashim Shettima is billed to represent President Bola Tinubu at the Nasarawa State Presidential Campaign Rally slated for today in Lafia.

Also due at the occasion are the National Chairman of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda; Senator Abdulaziz Yari, the Director-General of the APC Campaign Council, and a host of other dignitaries scheduled to grace the rally.

Already, the venue of the event, the Lafia Parade Ground, has been wearing a new look, with billboards and posters bearing the President, his Vice, and the party National Chairman, positioned strategically across the length and breadth of the venue.

Our correspondent also reports that all major roads across the city are manned by personnel of the Nigeria Police Force, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and other security agencies.

The VIPs are due to land at the Lafia Cargo Airport.

Various groups working for the actualisation of the Tinubu/Shettima second term have been trooping to the venue as early as 6 a.m.

Groups loyal to contenders for various positions in the state, including that of the APC governorship candidate, Senator Ahmed Wadada, were also seen at the venue.
