Federal government is constructing a bridge across the River Kaduna at Kigudu Village in Zango Kataf local government area of Kaduna State to connect 50 villages.

It was gathered that the construction of the bridge will help in tackling insecurity in the area and promote agriculture for economic stability in Nigeria.

The member representing Zango Kataf and Jaba Federal constituencies, Amos Gwamna, who facilitated the project while visiting the site on oversight, said the bridge will link up to 50 agrarian communities.

He said it will also assist the people to easily transport their farm produce to neighboring markets, as well as help the security operatives to access the communities in good time if there is any security threat.

While thanking the communities for their corporations, Gwamna pledged to continue to play his part to bring succor and quality representation to the people.

The lawmaker advised the people to ensure they utilize their permanent voter’s card during the elections to vote in only leaders who have their interest at heart and not to be deceived by selfish politicians who are bent on making the people vote along religious and ethnic lines.

The site engineer, Christopher Nze, assured that the project will be completed before the end of the year.

The elders of the community said the appeal for the project began during the colonial administration.

The youth leader of the community, Elisha Sule Zaki, commended the facilitator of the project and member representing Zangon Kataf/Jaba Federal Constituency and appealed to the engineers to use wisdom and the expertise given to them by God in carrying out the project according to specification.

Also, the Pastor of ECWA Church Magwafang, Rev Philibus Uli admonished the people to always show appreciation to their leaders who do good to them adding that such will encourage them to do more.

The project which is in its 5th month is expected to be completed before the end of 2023.
