NSCDC Assures Of Security In Abia

Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Abia State command has said it will partner other security agencies to provide security in the state before, during, and after the general election.

The commandant, Mr Muhammad Hassan Sanyinna, stated this yesterday is a statement by the public relations officer, Mr Ndukwe Agu Egwu which was made available to LEADERSHIP Weekend.

“For the umpteenth time, Sanyinna assured the residents and citizens of their protection as they come out on February 25 and March 11 to vote for candidates of their choice,” the statement said.

It added that the commandant congratulated the last batch of officers of the command that were recently trained on light arms, weapon handling. and range classification exercise.

“The training became necessary due largely to the command’s determination to continue to effectively respond to the prevailing security challenges confronting the nation.”

“I want to sincerely thank our comptroller -general, Mr Ahmed Abubakar Audi for his unreserved commitment towards transforming the corps to tackle  insecurity in the country.”
