As a sign of brotherhood and mutual respect, the vice president-elect, Kashim Shettima, last week visited the Yobe State governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, at his Abuja residence.
A statement issued by the director general Press Affairs and Media to the governor, Alhaji Mamman Mohammed said the vice president-elect who was on a brotherly visit to the governor, expressed appreciation for the support given to the Tinubu/Shettima ticket by the people of Yobe state.
Shettima said, “The support received from my brothers and sisters in Yobe state has contributed greatly to our victory at the polls” he said.
The VP-elect described the victory as a collective victory for all Nigerians.
Governor Buni who had earlier congratulated the president-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Vice President-Elect, Kashim Shettima, prayed to God to guide them to meet the aspirations of Nigerians.
“We will support you to execute your policies and programmes fully to succeed in moving Nigeria forward,” Buni assured.
