A former federal lawmaker and human rights activist, Senator Shehu Sani, has expressed confidence that the abducted school children and teachers of Kuriga Government Secondary and LEA primary schools in Chikun Local Government area of Kaduna State will eventually be freed.
Senator Sani who stated this Wednesday morning on his verified Facebook page while calling on the public to be patient, said terrorists will always like to manipulate public opinion to exploit and extort.
Sani, a one-time senator who represented Kaduna Central Senatorial District lamented that the past government wasted billions of dollars, and left behind a legacy of terror which the nation is now dealing with.
“The kaduna abducted pupils and students will eventually be freed. The ongoing efforts made by security agencies is assuring. It requires patience on the side of the public. Terrorists will always like to manipulate public opinion in order to exploit and extort the most,” Sani said.
He urged the people to deny the criminals that opportunity to achieve their aim.
“We must not give them the opportunity to achieve their aim. They abducted the children of poor people, they deserve no space of honour. I have confidence that the NSA, the Service Chiefs and other security agencies are all working together on this matter. It will eventually bear fruits.
“The past Government wasted billions of dollars and left behind a legacy of terror we are now dealing with. The terrorists have limited options, we must not allow them to achieve their aim,” he said.
