The clerics, led by Imam Adi Matase, asked for God’s continued guidance for both President Tinubu and Governor AbdulRazaq.

While acknowledging the celebrant’s act of philantropism and kindness to the people around him, the clerics prayed God to grant him the enablement to do more for his people and humanity.

In a brief sermon, the guest lecturer at the event, Sheikh Ahmad L’ Habeeb, reminded those in positions of authority that power is transient.

He charged Nigerian leaders across the three tiers of government to always put smiles on the faces of the masses by implementing people- focused programmes and policies.

L’ Habeeb praised the NILDS chief executive for remembering his contemporaries and the downtrodden in his immediate community through empowerment schemes and urged other public officers of Ilorin descent to emulate his worthy exemplary conduct.

In his remarks, Professor Abubakar Sulaiman, assured the gathering of his preparedness to continue to give back to his community.
