Abia State College of Education (Technical), Arochukwu, has regained accreditation for 24 courses it lost during the immediate past administration in the state.
The state governor, Alex Otti stated this during his monthly media chat, themed “Governor Alex Otti Speaks to Abians” for the month of November in Umuahia, the state capital.
“If you have visited there recently, you will see the massive work going on, both on the roads, hostels and lecture theatres, including classrooms.”
“The whole idea is to make it a ground for proper training of teachers,” the governor stated.
According to him, the government had completed additional buildings at the permanent site of Dr Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic, Aba, which he said would soon be commissioned.
Otti also noted that the polytechnic had been producing refuse buckets being used by the State Environmental Protection Agency (ASEPA).
The governor informed that the state-owned institution had been very supportive of some of the things the government had been doing.
”You will be amazed that the students produced refuse buckets for Ebonyi State Environmental Protection Agency, and those you see around your neighbourhood,” he added.
