The capital city Abuja is abuzz with excitement as preparations for the 2025 Women’s African Volleyball Club Championship (AWVCC25) take center stage. The technical meeting for the championship is set to take place today at 6 PM local time, where organizers will adopt the official hashtags for the tournament, tagged #AWVCC25 and #Abuja2025.

Hosted by the Nigeria Volleyball Federation and the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), the championship will run from April 1st to April 14th at the multipurpose sports hall of the Moshood Abiola National Stadium. The event promises to be a showcase of top-tier volleyball talent from across the continent.

On Sunday, Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, CGC Adewale Adeniyi, conducted an inspection of the competition venue. He confirmed that all necessary arrangements are in place to ensure a successful and seamless tournament.

“We are committed to making this championship a memorable experience for all players and fans,” Adeniyi stated during his visit.

The Nigeria Customs Service, representing the host nation, is particularly motivated to clinch the championship title. With a strong roster of players, the team is optimistic about their chances against other formidable African clubs. The athletes have expressed their determination to deliver outstanding performances and bring home the trophy.
