Abuja International Film Festival Announces Nominees, Honourees

Abuja International Film Festival has announced list of film nominees and Honourees set for its 20th edition.

The festival which featured received about 457 film submissions, saw a 101 of them officially selected for viewing at the festival, and 39 of the officially selected making the nomination list.

The nominees list include Best Feature Film, Nigeria; Best Feature Film Foreign, Best Experimental Films, Short Film List, Outstanding Actor, and Actress lists, Outstanding Director, Outstanding Music Score, Outstanding Animation Film, Outstanding Documentsry Film, Outstanding Cinematography and Outstanding Screenplay.

Scheduled to hold October 30 to November 3, 2023, the festival this year will host screening, workshops, panel discussions and trainings, across diverse spaces such as the Silverbird Galleria, Abuja Continental Hotel, Korea Culture Center, the Chinese Cultural Center, in order to engender an immersive cinematic experience for both local film enthusiast and international guests.

The festival will further honour 30 deserving individuals and organisations for their unwavering support it’s two decades of existence.
