The traditional ruler of the Karshi community in Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Federal Capital Territory, Alhaji Ismaila Muhammed, will on Wednesday host history making FOSLA Academy’s female football team that represented Nigeria at the just concluded CAF African Schools Football Championship held in Lome, Togo.
The reception which will be held at the palace of the Abuja Monarch in Karshi will also have in attendance his beloved wife at whose instance the reception will hold.
The Sani Lulu girls, who won Nigeria’s national Preliminaries held in Abuja that qualified them to represent the country in Lome, were adjudged the most disciplined side at the inaugural 8 -Aside CAF African Schools Football Championship held between November 23 to 26, 2023 in Togo. The team were rewarded for their disciplined and strict compliance to CAF rules in the area of age limit with the fair play trophy of the tournament.
It is also interesting to note that Patricia Habila of FOSLA Academy won the MVP and the Highest Goal Scorer Awards at the National Championship in Abuja ahead of the Togo trip.
The Karshi Monarch had earlier in the year hosted the FOSLA Academy U-15 Male team at the same venue upon their arrival from Rabat, Morocco after participating at the World School Football Championship.
