This is as the world goes green to create environmental awareness, change in behavior and lifestyle to reduce the amount of pollution and waste people generate.

International Youth Day is commemorated every year on 12 August, bringing youth issues to the attention of the international community and celebrating the potential of youth as partners in today’s global society.

The theme of International Youth Day 2023 is Green Skills for Youth: Towards a Sustainable World.

The club’s members, who were joined by volunteers from the community, planted a variety of grasses.

The grasses planted were chosen for their ability to withstand the hot and humid climate of the federal capital territory.

The club’s public relations officer, Mr. Ini Archibong said that the grass planting was part of the club’s commitment to environmental sustainability.

“We believe that sports can play a role in promoting environmental awareness,” he said. “By planting grass, we are helping to improve the quality of the air and water in our community.”

International Youth Day is also celebrated every year to promote the rights and well-being of young people around the world.

The grass planting by Abuja9800 Sports Club is a great example of how young people can take action to protect the environment.

Abuja9800 sports club members are setting a positive example for others, and they are making a difference in their community.
