Abuja is gearing up to host the 3rd National Para Games from 26th March to 3rd April 2026, with the National Sports Commission (NSC) announcing the opening of the official online registration portal for participating states. Stakeholders are urged to complete their registrations promptly.
Following registration, the crucial Pre-Delegation Registration Meeting (Pre-DRM) and Delegation Registration Meeting (DRM) will take place. The Pre-DRM will verify entries, resolve data discrepancies, and brief State Desk Officers on accreditation. The DRM will serve as the final confirmation, involving documentation validation and accreditation clearance for all eligible participants. Accreditation is vital for identification, access control, and security throughout the Games.
In a significant development, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Orientation Camp in Kubwa, Abuja, will serve as the official Games Village, a result of strategic collaboration between the NSC and NYSC. This inter-agency support aims to provide a well-organised and athlete-friendly environment, according to a press statement signed by Kola Daniel, SA media to the Director-General of the commission.
The NSC reiterates its commitment to delivering a world-class event that champions inclusivity, fairness, and excellence in Nigerian para-sports. All participating states are encouraged to adhere to the registration and accreditation timelines for a successful competition.
