The newly commissioned Acropolis Gardens and Residences Golf Course in Okija, Anambra State, has received support from new partners aimed at deepening the impact of golf in the country.
Nonso Osanakpo, the business development manager of Kates Associates Industries Limited, said on Sunday that the facility complements one of the core existence of his organisation as a promoter of personal care, necessitating the partnership.

According to Osanakpo, “As the number of golfers grows through the establishment and promotion of a great facility as the Acropolis, the personal care of the people would be impacted. This project complements the objective that we have pursued as an organisation for the past five decades.

“While our company has several products that can support this project, the Doobai perfume and roll-on are what we believe tally with the planned golf development activities in the state and Nigeria in general.”
Obioma Ogakwu, Acting Facility Manager at Acropolis, also said the support further confirmed the worthy status of the golf project for investments.

“We have had several organisations including the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) of Nigeria, the Nigeria Golf Federation, and other key stakeholders in the golf industry in Nigeria supporting us since the commissioning of this project on April 6throw their weight behind us since the golf course was commissioned on April 6.

“Nestoil came on board as the main sponsor of the launch while Doobai and Tecon oil also offered generous support. This is encouraging for the vision we are pursuing in Anambra and Nigeria as a whole,” Ogakwu said, stressing that the new golf would host major events in the country in the near future.

“My team is working hard to sustain the focus and drive for excellence that has earned us the accolades and support so far. We are very deliberate in engaging the right professionals to ensure that we keep the best standards possible,” the acting manager added.
